BabyHelp Pro (hereinafter "the Service") values your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data. By using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Data We Collect

To provide the full range of service features, we collect the following types of data:

  • Account Information: Email address, display name, and user role (father / mother / other).
  • Family Information: Family name, invitation code, due date, and baby's name.
  • Baby Information: Baby's name, date of birth, gender, and avatar emoji.
  • Health Records: Daily feeding, diaper changes, sleep logs, temperature, medication records, prenatal checkup diary, and vaccination records.
  • Growth Data: Weight, height, head circumference, and developmental milestones.
  • Photos: Baby growth photos you upload.
  • Device Information: Push notification subscription data (endpoint and encryption keys).
  • Usage Analytics: Anonymized usage behavior data such as feature usage frequency and login times.
  • LINE Account: If you choose to link LINE, we store your LINE user ID and display name.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Core Features: Providing baby care records, prenatal checkup management, vaccine tracking, shopping lists, and other features.
  • Push Notifications: Sending reminder notifications based on your settings (e.g., vaccine reminders, feeding reminders).
  • AI Assistant: Processing questions you submit to the AI parenting assistant to provide personalized responses.
  • LINE Notifications: Sending subscribed notification messages via LINE.
  • Data Analytics: Generating growth trend reports, weekly summaries, and other statistics.
  • Service Improvement: Analyzing anonymized usage data to improve the user experience.

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes, and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. AI Assistant Data Usage

The AI parenting assistant in this Service is powered by the Claude API from Anthropic. When you use the AI assistant:

  • The content of your questions is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing.
  • We only transmit the necessary question content — we do not send your account information or other personally identifiable data.
  • Anthropic processes data in accordance with its API usage policy and does not use your input for model training.
  • After an AI response is generated, the conversation content is not permanently stored on Anthropic's servers.
  • We record daily AI usage counts to enforce usage limits, but we do not store conversation content.
Important: Responses from the AI assistant are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice. For any health concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Each third-party service provider has its own privacy policy. We only transmit the minimum data necessary to provide the Service, and all data transfers use HTTPS/TLS encryption.

5. Data Storage and Security

We implement the following security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmissions use HTTPS/TLS encryption protocols.
  • Database Encryption: The database uses encryption at rest provided by Supabase.
  • Row Level Security (RLS): Database-level access controls ensure each family can only access their own data.
  • Authentication: Secure authentication mechanisms are used; passwords are stored as hashed values.
  • Principle of Least Privilege: APIs are granted only the minimum access permissions required to perform their functions.

6. Data Retention

Historical record retention periods vary by subscription plan:

  • Free: 7 days of history
  • Premium: 90 days of history
  • Lifetime: 365 days of history

Data beyond the retention period will be automatically deleted. Your basic account information (such as email address and family settings) is retained for the duration of your account.

Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account at any time via the Settings page. After your account is deleted, all associated personal data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.

7. Children's Privacy

The core function of this Service is to record the health and growth information of infants and young children. We take children's privacy especially seriously:

  • This Service is available only to adults aged 18 or older, or to legal guardians.
  • All child-related data is entered and managed by parents (legal guardians).
  • We do not collect any data directly from children.
  • Children's health records are protected with the same level of security as adult account data.
  • Parents may view, correct, or delete their child's data at any time through the Settings page.

8. Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your data:

  • Right of Access: You may view all your data in the app at any time.
  • Right of Rectification: You may correct your data in the Settings page or relevant feature pages.
  • Right of Erasure: You may request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Right to Data Portability: You may export your data in JSON format using the "Export Family Data" feature in the Settings page.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You may disable notifications, unlink LINE, or delete your account at any time.

9. Push Notifications

  • Push notifications are an opt-in feature that must be enabled by you.
  • We store your push subscription data (Web Push endpoint and encryption keys) to deliver notifications.
  • Notification types include: vaccine reminders, feeding reminders, prenatal checkup reminders, and others.
  • You may adjust your notification preferences or turn off push notifications entirely at any time in the Settings page.
  • When notifications are disabled, the associated subscription data will be deleted from our servers.

10. Cookies and Local Storage

  • Essential Cookies: We use session cookies to maintain your logged-in state.
  • localStorage: Used to store your preferences (such as dark mode, theme, and language settings).
  • Offline Cache: We use a Service Worker to cache essential resources to support offline use.
  • We do not use tracking cookies, third-party advertising cookies, or any technology for behavioral tracking.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify you by:

  • Sending a notification within the app.
  • Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
  • Sending a notification to your registered email address (depending on the significance of the change).

Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
